Remember when the good folks @1gabba disabled the ability to upvote/downvote comments here? The excuse was because they could be manipulated.

One could make the very same argument about the ratings as well, as they are obviously astroturfed in favor of certain labels / artists. For example, Dogfight releases always get large amounts of 10/10 ratings. Especially ones by Mad Dog.

So how come the ratings aren't disabled as well? Kudos for at least keeping the comments section open, this is rare in these times of persecution of "wrongthinkers" and censorship.

But not every release from Dogfight is good. Yet the ratings are always at least like 8.1/10 or some shit.

That's just your opinion, this mean that if you don't like a track all the rest of the people has to don't like it?
Dogfight gain popularity because they released a lot of good music, and popularity brings attention and votes.
That is pretty leggit.
