An adult has actually called himself Mr Bassmeister...think about that, his music is as good as his name. Him and Rob Gee are an embarrassment to the hardcore scene.
c'mon the whole hardcore scene is a joke. big boys who act with masks and pretend to be the hardest, a lot of ugly and useless girls, no new talents, tons of ghost production...it's a bad bad time for hardcore. frenchcore style has been fucked up, uptempo is the most ridiculous thing happened in the last years, mainstyle and rawstyle are playing arm wrestling. holland has for sure the best parties, but also the worst music policy. they want to obtain money from music that doesn't deserve a cent. and what's the bullshit for all those radio edits? no thanks.
Unfortunately, everything you say is the truth. Hardcore always goes through good and bad periods but at the moment I think it is the very worst its been for years, the biggest artists in the scene right now are making the worst music, that is if they are even making their own music, that is true for many genres but even more so in hardcore. The Frenchcore sound has completely been ruined, even the guys who started it Radium & AlCore are making dreadful music now, and uptempto is pure garbage with no creative side just a kickdrum for 4 minutes played at 260bpm. Dark times indeed.
Hardcore was and is all about roleplaying, fun and a little trashy attitude - and admitting that. While metal guys are sometimes way too serious and flooded by smartass students, Hardcore was were I could do any shit I wanted - that includes pretending to be hard and shiet. The problem with that now is just that production is completely commercialized, sterile and all about the clean "festival" attitude, smartphone-zombie NPC compatible, so it lacks dirt and grittyness. I don't feel so free at the parties anymore, if everything is perfectly orchestrated and filmed in 1080p, every angle. So the way to go are small parties.
its horrible. Not sure, what happend to Rob, but this sound awful. Missing the old times and good songs like the releases on Industrial Strength and Mokum.
