Rawstyle is a sub genre of Hardstyle so in the form of Hardcore you are correct. Hardstyle is not Hardcore as much as it tries to sound like Hardcore these days it's not! it was derived from Hard House, Hard Trance, Techno,Acid and yes Hardcore. the reason it's called "Hardstyle" is because it brings all the harder styles together at least that was the purpose of it in the beginning. As you may know if you are really an oldskool head - all these Hardcore dj's also made heaps of Hard Trance, Hard House, Acid, Techno and they wanted to go back to their roots.

if there is no such thing then why is there mention everywhere of this sub genre and why is their producers and DJ's identifying with this?
