everything overrated around promo/thunderdome stuff and if thunderdome stopped in 2012, why in 2016 still so much hype? money money money! they had luck the logo seems to be liked by many.

State the obvious why don't you. Of course it's money but there would be no sales if no one bought it !!

Thunderdome was (and still is for some) a lifestyle. If they want to make a buck or two and people are happy to buy it, where is the issue ? Nobody is forcing anyone to part with their cash.
