The sole purpose of packing mp3/flac files is consolidate multiple files into one file (+protect 'em from accidental changes), not to reduce total file size. Because mp3/flac itself are better audio compressors than any generic one.
Using Winrar 5.0 for audio data only makes things worse - same or even larger file size vs. incompatibility with older Winrar/7-Zip/Winzip (not all ppl use warez, so it's not so simple to upgrade).
Just because it's latest/with higher number version, pfft.

Winrar 5 doesn't change data or audio quality. That's the standard setting! Use your brain befor you post something useless..

Archives made with Winrar5 is incompatibile with previous version of winrar, so cant be extracted in winrar less then 5.

That's right, some glorious copyright defenders try to report & DMCA-ban any kind of public d/l links, especially sceners with their fixed release names and especially at popular/well-known sites as 1gabba. That's why you see dead even rapidgator/ul.to links (that don't have "since last download" storage time limitation so can't just expire on their own).
