META4

Meta4 was started as a collaboration between Ophidian & DJ Ruffneck designed to give new talents and established artists with a different view on today's music a chance to fullfil their desire of releasing their music on an open-minded platform.
The first eight releases included a note on the back of each cover:
"All sounds extracted, vinyls pressed and rights owned by the members of Meta4.
Available for illegal download everywhere, so what you waiting for?
Listen to this record, run home and leach the shit like the cheap-ass mofo you really are!*
* Message not intended for those properly supporting underground music"
In 2007 parent company Cardiac Music B.V. decided to no longer support the label. After a year of absence Ophidian restarted the label independently.
Releasing vinyl resumed in 2009, and a digital shop was opened in 2011.
