Maybe i am just too bored of the same sounding modern kick, because i like the blend of oldschool in this. But specially at 2:40 upwards that kick just sounds loud but weak. It might be overexposure and that is my problem, but overexposure is never a good thing and i am certain that many people grow stale of such kicks by now.

Consider tho that this Track is a challenge he does from time to time where his sound samples are send in by the fans. I dont know what he used exactly but these productions are rough and if you check out what he actually used it is usually insane. Id cut him some slack because nowadays uptempo is trending and you can write that "loud" in bold letters and scratch of the "nice" before the kick...

Thats what i thought, i know he is a very talented producer so i was shocked when i listened, i downloaded the full track and have listened on youtube, there is so much resonance in the synths, it is there no matter which version you listen on. Says a lot that people do not notice stuff like this in hardcore, they just hear the kick and have no idea if something sounds good so long as it is...
